The COVID-19 pandemic has changed our day-to-day, but our commitment to our customers and communities remains unchanged. We understand the impact of COVID-19 and are taking steps to support and protect our customers during these challenging and uncertain times.
While much has changed in our world, one thing will always remain the same - serving our customers when they need it most.
Dominion Energy continues to suspend disconnection of service per the requirements set forth by the Virginia General Assembly.
We know the COVID-19 pandemic has been financially challenging for many of our customers.
If you are a Dominion Energy Virginia customer and your account has arrears greater than 30 days as of December 31, 2020, you may have been eligible for arrears forgiveness.
The Commonwealth of Virginia's State Corporation Commission recently allocated Coronavirus Relief Funds to Dominion Energy to further help our customers. Customers who have been identified as eligible to receive assistance had a past due balance greater than 30 days as of April 30, 2021.
We will continue waiving late payment fees on past due balances, through the no-disconnections moratorium.

Extended long-term payment plans are available for a limited time. A long-term payment plan is an agreement to pay your current bill and a set amount towards a past due balance, each month. It divides the past due balance into equal payments.

We are committed to helping you with whatever scenario that comes up. If you experience financial hardship, please call us to discuss account options or learn about available bill payment assistance.
Help is available. Bill payment assistance is not limited to low income customers. Anyone facing hardship may be eligible.
EnergyShare is our year-round energy assistance program of last resort and is available to anyone who faces financial hardship, regardless of income.

Federal funding is available for past due rent through the Virginia Department of Housing and Community Development.
The eviction moratorium expired July 31, 2021. Renters still have some protections.
Congress approved nearly $10 billion, to be administered by Treasury, to help homeowners behind on their mortgage and utility payments and avoid foreclosure and eviction.
LIHWAP provides assistance to low-income households, particularly those with the lowest incomes, that pay a high proportion of household income for drinking water and wastewater services.
Food programs can provide emergency help during the COVID-19 pandemic. It may be easier for you and your family to receive food stamps and/or take part in meal programs. Anyone may be eligible, from pregnant women, families, seniors, students, and people living with disabilities.
SNAP provides monthly nutritional assistance to supplement the food budget of eligible families so they can purchase healthy food. During the COVID-19 pandemic, the government extended the 15% SNAP benefit increase through September 30, 2021.

WIC can help with supplemental foods, health care referrals, and nutrition education for low-income pregnant, breastfeeding, and non-breastfeeding postpartum women, and to infants and children up to age five who are at nutritional risk. During the COVID-19 pandemic, the government boosted WIC benefits.

This program provides kids and teens in low-income areas free meals when school is out. Find a SFSP site in your community:
P-EBT provides money for families to buy groceries for meals their children would have received at school but can’t access because school is closed or they’re attending remote classes.

Participating schools will communicate directly to eligible households. Eligible households do not have to apply for P-EBT benefits
Contact the P-EBT Call Center If you believe there are eligible students in your household and you don’t receive P-EBT benefits.
